General Rules

The air traffic rules and procedures to General Air Traffic (GAT) in the Shannon FIR conform to the Convention on International Civil Aviation.

  • Annex 2 - Rules of the Air,
  • Annex 11 - Air Traffic Services,
  • ICAO Doc 4444 - Air Traffic Management,
  • ICAO Doc 7030 - Regional Supplementary Procedures applicable to the EUR Region.

Irish regulations

Specific Irish VFR regulations are described in ENR 1.2, and are a suppliment to Annex 2 - Rules of the Air.
