As of July 1st 2010, a new permanent rule is in effect regarding controllers from other divisions manning positions in the IVAO Ireland Division.
To maintain quality in the IVAO Ireland Division, controllers from divisions other then Ireland are not allowed to control on positions which have a FRA set without approval from IVAO Ireland Division headquarters.
If you are serious about controlling in the IVAO Ireland Division, you will need to do a short check.
Contact ie-hq@ivao.aero when you want to do such a check.
FRA position can be found here:

As this division would not survive without its members. The staff of the IE division would like to ask all its members what they would like to see happen within the division. We would like to hear all your ideas whether its events or ways we may increase traffic through out the division!
Please visit the forum and give your opinion.
With airac cycle 1006 some SIDs and STARs were changed at Shannon airport. A new sector file can be downloaded from the resources section.
Irish upper airspace (UIR) has gone through some drastical changes. ALL high airways have been removed from our airspace, except in the area\'s where control is delegated to an other ACC (ex. upper sector above Donegal).
I suggest all controllers read the following document, it also contains new procedures for clearances:
http://www.iaa.ie/safe_reg/iaip/Published%20Files/Published_Amdts/EI_AMDT_A_2009_13_en.pdf
The area will look like this:
http://www.iaa.ie/safe_reg/iaip/Published%20Files/AIP%20Files/ENR/EI_ENR_6_4_en.pdf
131.15 will remain is the EISN freq. for the whole area. (incl. NOTA and SOTA)
A new sector file to go with those changes can be found in the resources section. http://ivao.ie/resources/sectorfile.html
It also contains the new Dublin ground layout!
In the next weeks the procedures on the website will be re-written.
Happy Holidays!
