Follow Me Service

General IVAO Rules

The Division shall determine which airports, if any, where Follow Me Car(s) are allowed.

A Tower must be manned before the Follow Me Car(s) can be used.

Double connections or Tower Controllers connecting with a FMC, is not allowed and will be suspended for two (2) days.

Follow Me Service shall be used in a correct coordination with Air Traffic Control and with his/her approval.

Speed Restrictions: Runways MAX 60 MPH (100 Km/h), Taxiways MAX 30 MPH (50 Km/h) and on the Apron: MAX 20 MPH (25 Km/h).

Racing or anything that constitutes reckless operations of a vehicle, will result in a suspension for a minimum of seven (7) days.

The FMC driver must be familiar with the airport procedures, have their lights on at all times, have a minimum ATC rating of C1, and adhere to the same Rules and Regulations for ATC procedures, where applicable.

The call sign of the FMC shall be the ICAO of the airport with the suffix FMx (where x is a number), for example at Dublin: EIDWFM1, a second will be called EIDWFM2, etc.

Other land type vehicles or water craft, e.g boats, ships, etc. are prohibited.

Within the Shannon Flight Information Region we allow Follow Me Cars at the following airport(s).
